The evil warlord from ancient times.

The most recent animated interpretation of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was sadly short-lived, but during its time the show provided us with a wealth of wonderful visuals and new characters. Those of us who had been fortunate enough to contribute to the show were given the series bible covering both Season One and the unaired Season Two. Within seconds of it arriving I flicked through the bible, my jaw almost hitting the floor upon discovering the character called Prahvus! This guy had all the makings of a very cool-looking villain; he looked like he could take down anyone! From his description as being an "evil warlord from ancient times" I envisioned a big role for the character. So you can imagine my disappointment when he debuted in the episode "Out of the Past" and was barely featured. Still I think he was one of the best things to come out of the new series...The other things I'll talk about another time...:)

Yeah, he's cool lookin'.

Did you see the thread where somebody at Mike Young Prod. said he was gona come back and work for the Horde in season 3?

That would of been cool.

Fortunately, the Four Horsemen can make a Staction if they want. That would Rock!

We also got to see a tiny bit of him in those flashback scenes in "Of Machines and Men". Of course that episode was pretty much a wasted effort...

I can't say I was too excited about him. I would have rather seen someone from the classic toyline that was never animated, or something from the Filmation series rather than creating new people. Same goes for King Grayskull.

Howdy

Wow awesome looking villian, what a shame he wasn't a main character, he could of been a threat for a whole season and that would of rocked.

Still real awesome looking :)

Looking at this blog-post after all these years later is really fun. I still remember the days when fans made-up a theory that Prahvus and Fisto might have been the same. LOL.

Thank you for sharing this image from the Series Bible. Prahvus does sound like he had lot of potential but sadly was only seen in the two episodes (one a flashback as TheShadow mentioned).

I wish they'd featured Prahvus a bit more--especially in relation to the Sorceress (they could have brought him back to go after in revenge). Not only is there that connection, but they could have linked him to the Horde, Evil Warriors, etc. Ah, the road not taken...
