21 years ago to this very day...

21 years ago to this very day Pam Vincent sent this memo to Robert Lamb regarding his work on She-Ra's season one. This memo was probably commonplace at Filmation, and whilst mildly exciting for the employees that received them, it is more exciting for us, as we see a writer being informed what screen credits he was going to receive.

Yeah that may not seem all that much of a big deal for the workers there, but to us fans seeing pieces of Filmation history is always great, just like that one paper that Lou sent to all his employees when Filmation was closing it's doors. :)

Those were all very enjoyable episodes too! Employees who read these kind of memos could think back and admire the wonderful work they've done. :)

That memo was an official statement of a credit list that Arthur asked each of the staff writers to submit. J. Michael Straczynski, Larry DiTillio and I edited outside writers' scripts as well as writing our own.

Being low man on the totem pole I got passed the problem scripts that JMS and Larry gave up on. If the editing was minor I left the credit to the original writer. But if the script required a major rewrite then the writing credit needed to reflect that. Look for the different placements of my name. The farther from the top of the credit indicates the less I had to rewrite.

My only regret was that I didn't get to write more original scripts due to the editing chores.

Amazing how something so mundane can seem so exciting to some, but it really kind of is!
