We haven't had a
Faker post in a while, so here's an image of the
evil robotic He-Man imposter drawn by
Ladybird book artist
Robin Davies for the one-off annual. He features in the story
"The Curse of Crystal Mountian" where he and
He-Man duel to convince the
Snow Dwarfs who is the true He-Man. It is nice to see the often forgotten Faker show up in a Ladybird book, but I'm sure he's had better days than this...

That's a great pic!!! The Ladybird books had great material.
Fantastic color and detail, in this illustration! I actually feel sorry for Faker, here, just looking at the wires coming out of him ... I would rather prefer Faker be thrown in a mud pond, like what happened to some of the other villains in the cartoon, instead! :)
Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

Although I owned all of the Ladybird books when they were first released, the Ladybird storybook / annual was the only annual that I didn't have originally; I only got a copy in recent years.
Either way, I really like the way they present Faker (my favourite MOTU character). It's nice to see the Evil Robot Impostor in the spotlight for once!
What I find most interesting is Faker wearing the He-Man armor.
All and all fantastic illustration. Does Faker appear in Ladybird books more?
