A letter from Skeletor...

One of those little scenes that can be easily overlooked occurs in He-Man's "A Beastly Sideshow" episode. Skeletor and his warriors kidnap Cringer and hold him at Snake Mountain. As we all know Skeletor is evil, former pupil of Hordak, former member of the Evil Horde, the Lord of Destruction, and yet even he will take some time out to pen a little ransom letter to Prince Adam! I find it highly amusing that an evil villain, capable of magic, would sit down and write a letter to his enemy! I love the end part of the letter too, "IF YOU DARE!"

Try as he might, Skeletor will never write a note as menacingly as the Blue Falcon! Not even any drawings of weapons on Skeletor's note!

Lol I remember this on the UK dvd commentaries, I find it hilarious how he signs it it as well, like anyone else could have sent it.

I loved how Filmation used Skeletor in the first season.Too bad that he was too goofy in season 2,too much for my taste.

Skeletor's printing isn't too bad! I wonder if he knows how to write in script! :)

Come to think of it, I wonder if Skeletor made Beast-Man or Evil-Lyn write out the message for him, in case Skeletor was being lazy and would rather dictate the message to his servants!

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless! :)

LOL KevyGuy. I'm wondering that Skeletor had written anything at all being as how he doesn't exactly have eyes, how did he ever become literate? But hey, cartoon scripts aren't exactly known for their consideration to pracalities :)

Shame he didnt get Beastman to do it and riddle it with spelling mistakes etc. if you dear instead of if you dare!

LOL This has been one of the funniest things I remember as a kid when watching the episode (in finnish dub though).

Love the "snail-mail" idea of Skeletor sending a note to the good guys, instead of appearing as a magical talking head or communicating in some other magic-based manner.
Even Hordak sent a letter to good guys in one MOTU Magazine story "Into the Maze" so Skeletor is not alone when it comes to writing down letters.

Maybe Skeletor has a secretary that writes his ransom notes. That gave me a good laugh. Thank you. :)
