The Mondor epilogue.

At the very end of the She-Ra season one episode "The Mines of Mondor" we see the epilogue begin with a long panning shot. What I believe makes this image so very interesting is that we have the panning shot bookended with close-up cels of the characters that we are only used to seeing on static shots. It frames the image beautifully and matches the progression of the dialogue in this scene. A great piece of direction by Ernie Schmidt.

I always wondered why they chose to have Glimmer's "model pose" with her hand behind her back right in the vicinity of her butt. Why is that? ;)

Who is the guy in the orange and blue?

SlyVenom, the character in the orange and blue outfit is named Prince Hazar, thanks to the notes within the episode guide booklet to the DVD set. :)

Great job capturing and assembling this symmetrical and colorful shot, James. :) Reminds me of the one scene in "The Rock People" where the Rebels and the Horde villains square off ... Hope you can post that image, somewhere down the line, like you once did in your review on the Episode Review Website!

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

A very interesting background (and panning shot)--I always wished we had seen more of Queen Angella's throne (and Brightmoon in general) in the series.

That is quite a gorgeous panning shot. :)

And you are right the "bookending" with profile close-up shots does make it even more interesting visually.
