Robert Lamb: Micah's disappearance...

I spoke to Robert Lamb about the character of Micah from his She-Ra season one episode "Micah of Bright Moon"...

"I wanted to have him stay with his family and become a recurring role. Arthur said no. The shows would not be shown in sequence (because there was no sequence) and kiddies might be confused if Micah was with Queen Angella in some shows and not in others. So I had to have Micah run off to fight the rebellion after a quick hug with his family. I was not happy."

I don't actually remember this scene but then again I haven't had the pleasure of viewing the DVD as yet. It's funny though that Micah & young Queen Angella look like version of Bow & Adora. and Glimmer just can never be mistaken for anyone else with that pink hair! :)

LOL! Yes! I really never noticed it before, but staring at that picture, Queen looks like she could have been Adora's mother.

You know, I was always curious as to how old each of the characters was supposed to be on the shows. I'd say Queen Angella must have been in her early 20's in the flashback ... The characters really have aged well in the He-Man and She-Ra series!

Young Glimmer looks like The Starchild, only with pink hair! :)

I also love the scene near the end of the episode when Hordak appears on a monitor and asks a defeated Tongue Lasher if he captured King Micah ... Tongue Lasher's response is a riot as he grumbles something like: "Have I captured King Micah yet? Phooey!" I can't blame the poor guy, in that scenario! LOL :)

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless!

I was looking at this pic again and noticed something that didn't quite strike me before. Queen Angella isn't wearing her usual costume with the blue tights but has a short skirt instead. Must've been well into summer and slightly too humid to be wearing tights. LOL

Sometimes royal families can not be true together! And we already have learned with Adam, Adora and her parents. Anyway I feel good having solved that way. It's amazing how Angela and Glimmer have the same face.

Oh man that's a real bummer.
Shame that Arthur was the one editing scripts for continuity (from what I remember in a SDCC panel), but also the one to discourage actually having continuity. :(

Micah would have been great addition to have on multiple episodes, like Sea Hawk was.

I was also always confused about the ages of everyone. So was Glimmer and Adora the same age? And judging from Castaspella's voice, how old was she?
