Wraparound differences #1

The second part of "The Sword of She-Ra", the season one episode "Beast Island", has a wraparound segment that showcases scenes from the first episode "Into Etheria." What is interesting in this wraparound is that the footage is somewhat different to the actual animation featured in "Into Etheria." The image on the left is from "Into Etheria" and we can clearly see He-Man without the Sword of Power, only the Sword of Protection in his sheath, confronting Adora. The image on the right from the wraparound segment at the beginning of "Beast Island" shows that He-Man apparently confronted Adora with the Sword of Power whilst she wielded the Sword of Protection! These crazy little differences are always interesting to behold...

Ugghh!! Now I'm confused. I have to watch the movie again, because now I don't know what originally happened. Because I remember that part after He-Man's shot and stunned that Adora holds up the sword and says something about "this curious sword."

Wait for the *totally* new animation in the recap for "Beast Island"... :)

If I can remember correctly, He-Man sliced the sword that Adora was holding, when they dueled, on my copy of the movie. It wouldn't look good if it was the Sword of Protection being sliced by He-Man's sword, according to what the later image may suggest! LOL :)

I can't believe the Wraparound differences have been going on for 6 years already! How time flies when you're dealing with Eternia and Etheria.

Love these features James!
I haven't been watching all that much SOTS in comparison to the five-parter story so wouldn't have seen it at first.

Thank you for pointing this out. I really wonder why they changed some of the things in the wraparounds that they did..
