Listen you...

Paul Dini demonstrated on many an occasion why he was probably the best character writer on the He-Man series. An example of this has to be heard to be believed in "The Royal Cousin" when the arrogant Prince Jeremy pushes Man-At-Arms' patience to the limit in this hilarious scene. Just listen as Man-At-Arms bites his tongue!

Just looking at the second image, it's as if Prince Adam is trying to tell Man-At-Arms, "Don't stoop to Jeremy's level!" :)

Man-At-Arms really puts Jeremy in his place, a little later, with 2 firm pieces of dialogue that really hit home without sounding like verbal abuse...

"Young man, someone ought to teach you respect for other peoples' property!"

And...

"When Prince Adam hears what you've done, I guarantee he'll agree with He-Man!"
(In regard to Jeremy disobeying Prince Adam's orders not to ride any of the vehicles, if he wanted to go to the street market)

Also, the shot of Jeremy, in this scene, features the wrong background, as he is supposed to be inside Man-At-Arms' lab ... This image, on the other hand, features a backdrop of the throne room of The Royal Palace! I always forget about that until I actually watch the episode! :)

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

Jeremy reminds me of Sport Billy here. Man, that was another great looking Filmation toon. I believe I have always loved their signature style from the first moment I saw it.

While I think they had already said Duncan's name in the previous episodes, I think this episode was the first one where Man-At-Arms makes the distinction of his friends calling him Duncan.

And Jeremy was quite the brat in the episode. I always liked this episode because I could watch it with my own cousin (who was nothing like Jeremy).
