Hate this part...

Here is an interesting transformation sequence oddity from the season one He-Man episode "The Shaping Staff." As He-Man prepares to point the Sword of Power at Cringer, the cowardly cat decides he has something to say before being struck by the power of Grayskull. Listen to the theme tune music when Cringer begins talking to the audience; just when the most familiar part of the theme tune is about to start, there is a noticeable cut, and the music goes back roughly two seconds! This is obviously edited so that the moment He-Man points the sword at Cringer it coincides with the most familiar part of the theme tune. Usually the director would not bother, but it is an interesting little rarity nonetheless.

For your listening pleasure, The edited theme...

How about that, indeed? Never noticed that until I listened closely to the audio, here! :)

"Bargain With Evil" features a similar situation, with the transformation scene taking place in Prince Adam's bedroom, again ... On this occasion, I thought it was awesome how the He-Man theme song comes to a halt, after He-Man states, "I Have The Power" ... Cringer delivers his hilarious comments followed by the theme song resuming from where the song left off! I love the edit job on the music, here. :)

Want to check out another edit job with the musical score? There is one point in the moral message from She-Ra's "Return Of The Seahawk" where the usual 'Loo-Kee moral theme song' is switched to the typical 'Orko moral theme song' for a couple of seconds, then it switches back to the other theme song, again! It just comes out of nowhere! :)

By the way, just from listening to Cringer's tone, here, he sounds like he's had better days than this! :)

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

Awesome to see the director taking notice to coincide the pointing of the sword and theme tune this way.

Cringers little comments during the Transformation-sequence were always really great.
My favourite is him running away from Adam in "The Dragon's Gift"

I always love Cringer's insight. :) And this is no different.
