The Great Eternian Dam.

Here is a panning shot of one of Eternia's greatest technological wonders, the Great Eternian Dam from "Island of Fear", the season two He-Man episode with the strikingly original plot! This is a great piece of Filmation artwork, and this assembled image shows just how big the dam is. What is unfortunate is that the series never revisited the dam again, or even mentioned it in passing. Maybe this is what makes "Island of Fear" such an original episode?

The Great Eternian Dam is like a city in itself! I also love the shot of the dove flying over the dam as the camera follows the dove while the setting scrolls along. :)

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

Theory: the writers never used the Great Eternian Dam again because there was controversy over the use of the word 'dam' in a kids' show. ;)

haha maybe Aidan hit the spot with his theory! :D

The pan-shot is really terrific. That Dam is HUGE and "Island of Fear" was one of the episodes I watched a lot as a kid since it was on the few tapes I owned.

There was great mystery to the island itself which I enjoyed quite a lot.
