Warriors at the ready...

It is official, even with the low votes, I'm going to attempt TWO POSTS PER DAY throughout November; one post will be a video clip, while the other post will focus on the UK comics!

Oh, and before I forget, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Let's have a villainous post today. One of my favorite panning shots occurs in the season one He-Man episode "Diamond Ray of Disappearance" when the Evil Warriors prepare to attack Castle Grayskull. I love the eerie detail of the bridge leading to Castle Grayskull, the abyss is represented by nothing but black, and of course the fact that this image features the original cast of Evil Warriors; Beast Man, Evil-Lyn, Mer-Man, Trap Jaw and Tri-Klops!

Madman, two posts a day?! Well just to feed you some fuel maybe for tommorow's posts. Ever heard anymore information about the Score/Soundtrack of classic MotU? I recall seeing it vaguely mentioned at he-man.org once but nothing more ever came of it afaik. Amazingly I did find that an old casette score of He-Man did exist with 12 of some of the more common tunes. None of the battle themes though...man I loved it when those drums beat home and He-Man beat down some suckahs.

Love this panning shot, James. Makes me think of a similar one in She-Ra's "The Peril of Whispering Woods" as the Horde go to attack the forest at the start of the episode...

...be great to see that one up here! :)

Man..I love this panning shots you put on!!

I hope to see more of these, I never seem to grow tired of them.

I wonder if you have some with the Horde James? (*hint*...*hint*) :)

This has to be the most atmospheric shot of the bridge that leads to Castle Grayskull...

While on the subject of Grayskull, it's funny how in some episodes, like "The Great Books Mystery" and "Visitors From Earth," the drawbridge to the castle supposedly reaches across the chasm, whereas in other episodes like "Daimar The Demon" and "Golden Disks Of Knowlege," there is solid ground on the spot where the drawbridge is lowered!

...And speaking of possibly featuring panning shots of The Evil Horde from "She-Ra," how about the shot of Hordak and his warriors laughing at the beginning of Act 2 from "The Peril Of Whispering Woods?" :)

Excellent screen capture, James. :)

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

Awesome shot! This was, I believe, the third or fourth episode ever aired here in Italy (they didn't follow the correct episode sequence over here), and the first presenting the Evil Warriors. It was here that I fell in love with my beloved Trap-Jaw (favourite bad dude for me too, yes!) and Tri-Klops, ages before they were released as toys (the episode was aired in 1984 I believe, the toys one year later!).

I am always drawn to imagery of the bridge leading to Castle Grayskull--it adds that extra bit of "umph" to the place! And seeing the Evil Warriors lined up on it is great!

Can't wait for two posts a day from you James! More blog-goodness!

This panshot is one I've always loved as a kid. The entire landscape near Grayskull is fantastic and always fun to see Skeletor's "original five". :)
