By the honor?

Here are some nice panels culminating with a transformation sequence from issue four of the UK Princess of Power comic. In the story "Hordak's Evil Brew" the lovely Adora is drugged by Hordak and sent out to sea in a small boat. What is interesting is that in the final panel the mantra is "BY the honor of Grayskull!" Like the UK Masters of the Universe comic's "I AM the Power!" the Princess of Power comic was still trying to find its feet!

IIRC I think Mattel's original promotion material for the POP toy line had Adora saying "By the Honor of Grayskull... I Have the Power".

Another mistake in the UK comics that occurred around this time was a bit of confusion between He-Man and She-Ra's swords... in several UK comics He-Man's sword was referred to as the 'Sword of Protection'.

Beautiful illustrations of both Adora and She-Ra here ... Very similar to the cartoon form, plus extra detail in the hair, too!

I can just hear voice actress Melendy Britt act out the dialogue for this scene, if it were to carry over to the cartoon ... This is the kind of way Adora speaks to herself. :)

Nice job on the effects of the transformation, carrying over well from the way it was used in the cartoon, too!

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

I just love these black and white illustrations from the UK mag. Adora and She-Ra look lovelier than ever!

That is an interesting variation on the magic-words. Especially from She-Ra.

But UK Comics things their own way and I am glad for some of them, because they add some fun variety to the mythos about MOTU/POP. :)
