Loo-Kee's Snake Mountain antics!

"Loo-Kee Lends a Hand" is a very busy episode exploring every major location in the He-Man and She-Ra series. One of the most memorble scenes in the episode occurs when Loo-Kee accidentally arrives in Snake Mountain as Skeletor is informing Beast Man of his latest plan to overthrow the Royal Palace of Eternia. The scene itself is like a mini episode, and Skeletor's plan sounds like one of his strongest yet. This scene not only features a great premise, but also wonderful dialogue and truly beautiful animation.

...one of my favorite scenes from the entire run of He-Man and She-Ra. This is exactly why no one should ever complain about Loo-Kee!

Lol, that was brilliant, love Skeletor muttering to himself when his head was stuck.

This episode features some of the most fluid animation on Skeletor, like the comical, exaggerated look on his face, just before Loo-Kee sends his head into the viewscreen/orb, and after Loo-Kee knocks Skeletor over, as the villain attempts to enter the magic portal! I also get a kick out of Skeletor's nickname for Loo-Kee ... One of Beast-Man's "Beasties!" LOL :)

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

At first I wasn't too keen about writing an episode featuring Loo-Kee when Arthur Nadel gave me the assignment. Then he sweetened the deal by suggesting I make it a crossover show with He-Man.

Skeletor didn't really fit in my story as a major plot point but I couldn't leave him out. He is so much fun to work with. Besides, it is more interesting for Loo-Kee to detour on his way to find He-Man. And I've always wanted to smash Skeletor's face into his table-dome-tv. A little slapstick now and then is a good thing. :)

I loved how the animators and director handled this sequence and the entire episode. Very satisfying for a writer. :)

Thanks for your interest.

Thank you James for this blog-entry!
And special thanks to Robert for your comments!

I love the fact that it's a crossover-episode, because Loo-Kee seems like an important character.
Heck I always imagined that he already knew the secret to both Adam and Adora.

Would have liked to see this plan of Skeletor's as well... ;)
