Weekend Away #6 - Silhouette of evil...

One of my favorite scenes in the season one She-Ra episode "Horde Prime Takes A Holiday" occurs when we see the awesomely impressive Velvet Glove looming over the Etherian skies. It truly is one of the most awe-inspiring moments because there is only the threat and no direct action, as the frightened Etherians can only look on in fear. The Velvet Glove is one of the most powerful weapons of destruction in the entire He-Man and She-Ra series. And to think, it was originally one of two ships...

Interesting how we can only see the silhouette of The Velvet Glove on ground level, but the actual ship is only seen when it is shown in outer space ... Goes to show how gigantic Horde Prime's ship really is!

This is one of those episodes that has viewers at the edge of their seats, when it comes to He-Man and She-Ra fighting against the power of the ship!
"I can't hold it much longer!" :)

Great job featuring an excerpt from this episode, James! Hope to see more Blog entries taken from this awesome episode in the future. :)

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

Awesome episode! My favourite She-Ra episode of all, actually. The Hordak/Skeletor duel is classic, not to talk about the presence of Multi-Bot on board of the Velvet Glove. I remember watching this episode in black 'n' white when it was first aired over here, summer 1986. We just had a black 'n' white TV at the seaside back then.

This is one of the prime examples why The Evil Horde as an Intergalactic Empire is such a great concept.

The threat is that BIG that Etherians have no way of against it, unless She-Ra is there to help even the odds.
Would have loved getting big Horde Flying Ships in toy-form: :)
