Who needs She-Ra and He-Man?

Yes, another video about a collapsing bridge! What is it with the He-Man and She-Ra series and its fascination with collapsing bridges? In the She-Ra episode "Just The Way You Are" a very odd thing happens. Drew, a young circus performer is clinging to a broken bridge for his life when Adora and Adam make an appearance. Now what would you expect to happen? A double transformation? You would be wrong! On this occasion they decide to save the day as themselves! Also, be sure to check out this scene for the amusing line where Adora appears to reference the gymnastics they used to do in their younger days. Would that be during the days when Adora was a part of the Horde?!

Hmmm I can't remember the exact circumstances surrounding that particular scene so I guess the script writers must've had some reason not to have Adam & Adora transform into their alter-egos. But seems to me that this business about the gymanstics they used to do together - ummm when was that exactly? They didn't grow up together & after they met for the first time it's not like they actually lived together as a family for any length of time. Must've been a script blooper is all I can say.

I think these cartoons made me scared of bridges as a kid. And I'm not terribly fond of them now, either...

The only logical explanation about the gymnastics that Adam and Adora used to do would be that they practiced gymnastics during a few of Prince Adam's visits on Etheria, since "Secret Of The Sword," but that sounds rather corny! :)

How odd but very original that Adam and Adora save Drew without changing into He-Man and She-Ra ... Speaking of, this episode features the shortest appearance of He-Man in the entire He-Man and She-Ra series, which I can recall! I'd say that He-Man appears for about 1% of the episode, and that is very briefly, near the end!

Hope you also one day feature a Blog entry about Adam transforming in front of Glimmer, later on in this same episode, James! :)

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

It seems to me the writers often forgot that Adora used to be part of the Horde. Like in part 5 of the Secret of the Sword, where she is telling amusing anecdotes about Madame Razz, as if they'd had many adventures together. That is of course unless she's refering to a situation in which she was up against Razz...

Yeeeah the inconsistency of the past with Adam and Adora is very iffy.

Plus where is that rope attached to? Great screengrab! ;)

Though still love it that Adam and Adora do their best to make due without their alter-egos.
