The
"Dragon's Gift" minicomic was interesting because of its connection to the
Filmation episode
"The Dragon's Gift". Aside from the truncated story the biggest difference was the color of
Granamyr. Not only is his green color scheme a bit of a shock, but even though the Filmation design looked creepy, the great
Alfredo Alcala made the character look even creepier!

How true ... Filmation's design of Granamyr made to look even more creepy! The size of his head, in proportion to the rest of him, is also creepy!
Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

I'm pretty sure I read the minicomic before I saw the episode, thus this was my first impression of Granamyr. I think it's because of that I actually before this Granamyr over the Filmation version. But I honestly believe he looks better.
This is fantastic, Granamyr has always been one of my favorite characters
What came first - the Filmation story/design? or the mini comic?
Hipphop - the Filmation design came first, this was one of several mini-comics adapted from Filmation episodes.
Either way, I consider this to be one of the better post-first two wave mini-comics.
