Alternate Sorceress footage!

Unbeknownst to many the season one He-Man episode "The Dragon Invasion" was sent directly to video with a couple of errors, preceding the actual airing of the episode in the US! The most famous error is that the episode features the original intro with the "Evil forces of Skeletor" dialogue replaced with "Evil Masters of the Universe". One of the errors that many may have missed occurs when the Sorceress appears to confront Skeletor at Castle Grayskull. In the original footage the Sorceress first appears in the form of Zoar and then transforms, which was a huge continuity error as the Evil Warriors were not supposed to know that Zoar and the Sorceress were one and the same! Later in the production of the series the scene was corrected...

When watching the DVD, I did notice the change ... This makes sense, because Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, and Trap-Jaw had no idea that Zoar and The Sorceress were the same, as seen later on in "Teela's Triumph" ... Since all three villains appeared in both episodes, they would have figured out who Zoar was, according to the former version, featuring Zoar transforming right before their eyes!

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

I didn't notice this subtle change until a while back (the fact that the Evil Warriors did not know that Zoar was actually the Sorceress was not always made clear).

I still like my old VHS release of The Dragon Invasion". I for one actually wished the Evil Warriors had been the Masters of the Universe (as mentioned in rare variant opening) - I kinda like the idea of them being in control and making all bad stuff happening, and He-Man and the Heroic Warriors having to battle against it.

Was great to see more sorceress footage as she for me is one of the most vibrant characters in the motu realm
