Royal Colors.

The minicomic "Double-Edged Sword" featured Filmation-inspired artwork with some very odd color schemes. In this illustration you can see that He-Man and Ram Man are okay, but King Randor and Queen Marlena's color schemes are far from what we are used to! I do like the fact that their costumes compliment one another, but the choice of brown and pink is a far cry from the regality of their Filmation costumes! I should also mention the all-pink Teela, whom I mentioned before in one of the earliest Blog entries...

Perhaps colorist was color blind?

Nice expressions of joy captured on all of the characters' faces in this one. :) The all-pink/all-white versions of The Sorceress, in other comics, is another favorite variant of mine. :)

Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

forget the odd colors! Ram-Man was on Stackers or something.

King Randor looks like he's just got out of bed and is wearing a dressing gown!

As commented by another poster, Ram Man looks odd here - normally he is portrayed as either dwarf-like or hulking over the other characters.

I think there is a single reason for this weir color schemes... the colorist didn't have the figure on it's hand, probably they got a B&W copy from filmation style guide with no colors on it... but it was funny to see how teela was all girlie on pink win she wasn't on TV... Probably it was the weekend outfit!!

Like I said before, Pink is the main colour of Eternos. And the King and Queen can't be seen in public wearing the exact same thing every day. As for Teela, this outfit could be very handy for a camouflage mission in the city.
