One thing I do like about
Glenn Steward's style in the
"She-Ra and the Golden Goose" Ladybird book is that
Clawdeen is illustrated perfectly! The large glamorous cat does not look ridiculous like the toy, or too aggressive like the
Filmation version, retaining a cunning look throughout the book. If I had one criticism of
Robin Davies' artwork on
She-Ra, it would be that his Clawdeen never looked quite right...

I don't own any ladybird books, but I've always wanted to. This image is so perfect, thanks for sharing it. I love that Catra is in her Scratchin' Sound suit.
Love Clawdeen's expression. :) That saddle looks like it weighs a ton! Also looks like Catra got her hands on a Golden Goose, from the original "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory" movie. :)

Indeed, Clawdeen is striking (especially the texturing around her saddle)--but Scratchin' Sound Catra is exquisite!
