In the script for the
She-Ra episode
"Anchors Aloft" Part 2 there is a suggested character model for
Davy Jones. This was more than likely illustrated by this script's writer and
Filmation storyboard artist
Bob Forward. The illustration was sketched on the very page and scene where Davy Jones first appeared to ensure that the storyboard and layout departments could see the initial design...

A little more friendly looking than his final, animated version!
All of Davy's comebacks were really something else! Poor Sea Hawk really took a lot from the feisty little guy!
"No, it's a bucket of glass ... Of course it's a door!"
Love that remark. :)
Thanks for posting and reading! God Bless...

Was this Davy Jones reminiscent of The Monkees' Davy Jones?
Wow, I never imagined that Davy Jones looking like that, but mind you though I didn't think much concept art exsisted of him as he only appears in Anchors Aloft.
He had also appeared in Part 1, so I assume Filmation decidedto make him a character on both parts after a re-write or something?
well said Mario, this was the first thing that came to my mind! We had goat man so thankfully we didnt have mouse man in the masters universe
This is actually one cute little design. Thanks for sharing this piece with us :-)
