I'm just tired, Cringer...

Throughout the He-Man series the bond between Prince Adam and his cowardly cat Cringer was addressed by some of the writers. However it was not until season two that Robert Lamb's "Into they Abyss" revealed Cringer to not only be Adam's voice of reason, but also his confidant...

This scene features probably the best dialogue between Prince Adam and Cringer in any episode. I can't help but think of the beginning of the "I Have The Power" video, from the "He-Man & She-Ra: A Christmas Special" DVD, which also features the animation captured here! :)

Thanks for reading! God Bless...

We had so far seen many times were He-Man was treated in a different way than Adam by people. Seeing Adam, though, talk about himself as He-Man in 3rd person singular is rare. The need of Adam to be more like an ordinary person than a guy who has to hide his superhero identity from friends is rather obvious. I don't think there is anyone who can't understand him as being the defender of Eternia sounds like a lot of pressure and a huge responsibility. :)

It nice to hear that Adam is alot like us. As a kid I couldn't understand this scene, but now I get what the writters meant. Sometimes we need a break from responsibility but we can't always get it. Thanks for the memories!

It was great to see Cringer stand up for something and this was his friendship with Teela and showing Adam how much of a jerk he was. Love this scene, superbly done!
