The original Twiggets!
Here is an illustration from the She-Ra Series Bible showing one of the first artistic representations of the Twiggets that dwell within the Whispering Woods. These characters look a lot more like the Trobbits from the Filmation Blackstar cartoon than their final Princess of Power character designs. Also it is worth noting that even at this early stage the method for naming the Twiggets is already in place; Sprockett, Sprig and Sprinkle. And is it me or do they look slightly evil?

Well they certanly look tougher.
Spot on, James! :) I was also thinking of Tullimar (S.P?) from "The Dragon's Gift" and an evil version of the seven dwarfs from "Snow White," when I saw this version of the Twiggets!

They look more like Brownies than Twiggets. Or Gnomes from one of those really old fairy tale books.
They certainly look very mischievous! :)
These Twiggets look like bikers. The Horde wouldn't stand a chance against the rebellion with scruffy looking ruffians like this on their side.
If the Twiggets looked like this in the cartoon I might have been scared of them as a child :-)
