This wonderful illustration by
Robin Davies appears in the
She-Ra Ladybird book
"Spirit is kidnapped". Having the characters of
Catra and
Clawdeen silhouetted in purple against the moon creates a great atmosphere to the piece. My only gripe is the way Clawdeen is illustrated in the book, and subsequently this piece, looking like a giant cat, instead of a tiger...

Like a black cat crossing your path! Beautiful detail captured throughout the entire silhouette, plus I like the scattered reds and yellows used for some of the stars. :)
Thanks for reading! God Bless!

I know it's lame as an idea to have Clawdeen represented by a giant cat but this particular representation in the darkness, I find it to be pretty much okay :)
Very simple yet artistic for a kids book. I like this page. I haven't seen these books before.
Clawdeen reminds me more of some kind of ferret for some reason in this picture, but it's an impressive sillouette nonetheless. Love the fact that you can just make out the glint in Clawdeen's eye there.
