"Evilseed" Layout #4
Here is the fourth of four beautiful illustrations drawn by the Filmation artists when developing the script for the episode "Evilseed". What I like about this piece is that Castle Grayskull is literally dwarfed by the size of the giant ice ball! You can see that the artists were still establishing the style of the series as Castle Grayskull looks a lot different from the cartoon version.

Was this drawn before first episode was animated?
Maybe Grayskull looks different due to angle? Though, that doesnt explain mountain landscape.
Looks like all of the main players are trying to blow up an approaching planet! This would have been the perfect follow-up shot to the all-too-famous shot of our heroes and Skeletor blasting away, for the cartoon. :) The mountains and hills around Castle Grayskull look every bit as well detailed as the castle itself, in this illustration!

This is like a legendary scene. It would be cool to see it as a full fledged realistic digital painting.
My goodness that iceball looks like a planet heading towards Grayskull!
