"Droid of Destruction" #1

Here I present the first two pages of "Droid of Destruction" a very memorable story from issue seven of the UK Masters of the Universe comic. I am always a fan of stories that play around with the Prince Adam/He-Man dual identity; and this is by far one of the most entertaining! Interestingly He-Man remarks that his brain-waves are different to Prince Adam's, whereas The New Adventures of He-Man episode "Adam's Adventure" would later contradict this...

This is indeed one of the best stories from the early UK comics. I remember when the NA episode "Adam's Adventure" showed on UK TV and I immediately noticed the continuity problem with this story!

In one issue of the comics shortly after this one, a reader enquired on the letters page as to why He-Man seemed only just about able to lift that rock on page #2, when in an earlier issue he had easily lifted a mountain. Scrollos explained the rock was made of a particular type of matter which made it much heavier than it looked!

In the second panel of page two, that rock looks suspiciously like a huge turd.... ;)

The concept of the image of Hordaks face in the center of the Droid's body reminds me of Krang from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." :) Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)
