Spikor toils...

The Masters of the Universe minicomic "The Terror Claws Strike!" was one of the few canons to actually give Spikor a decent story. In this minicomic, specifically in this panel by Bruce Timm we see that Spikor is a skilled inventor of weaponry, as he creates the Terror Claws for Skeletor. He is also written rather intelligently in this minicomic, as opposed to the awful characterization in the Filmation series. Sadly we did not see enough of this particular interpretation of Spikor...

Maybe I'm crazy, but I actually like the Filmation version of Spikor's personality better. :) This version is portrayed much like the Filmation version of Modulok. The hammer arm feature reminds me of the hammer arm feature that Hordak uses while threatening Mantenna in "The Unicorn King." Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)

Spikor was never done justice in Filmation, their characterization of him was diabolical. Shame they couldn't have followed the mini-comics' example.

Perhaps it's a good thing I was more familiar with the Mini-verse Spikor than the TV version. In my toy adventures, he was always building stuff and working at a stove like this.

The mini-comic, The Terror Claws Strike was one of the best of the mini-comics in my opinion. Not only was Spikor portrayed wonderfully, the art by Bruce Timm was a treat to behold.

I thought this was a great idea making Spikor a weapons maker or blacksmith for Skeletor. Where Trap Jaw could produce techology, Spikor could produce good solid hand to hand weaponry!
