Unseen Evil Warriors.

This is one of my favorite illustrations from the 1985 UK Masters of the Universe annual. This annual features many beautiful watercolor illustrations, but this is by far one of the best. The mood of the piece is incredibly strong. It is interesting to see both Skeletor and Trap Jaw sneaking around under the noses of the heroes. One of the best things about this illustration is the way in which Trap Jaw is illustrated. He is not the comical villain from the cartoon series that we are used to. This Trap Jaw has more in common with the ruthless killer that appeared in the early minicomics and the 1984 UK annual.

That image kinda reminds me of artwork from the golden book caverns of fear. I love trap jaws slim and villainous build. I like the idea of it just being Trap Jaw and Skeletor. Its nice to see somebody else other than Beast Man working solo w Skeletor.

Trap-Jaw looks like he's lost a lot of weight here. Could it be because Skeletor's patience is growing thin?

Just makes me wish the villains hadn't all become such typical buffoons really, would probably make re-watching certain episodes with adult eyes a little more interesting and a little less 'routine.'

Again, very beautiful artwork here. And Trap-Jaw looks very strange in this depiction of him.
