Once again, my daughter... #2

As I mentioned two days ago, during the production of She-Ra's second season the budget was quite tight prompting more stock reuse than had been seen on the first season of He-Man! In the previous post I showcased images from "Return Of The General" in which we see Queen Angella and her daughter Glimmer to fly into action! Well, in the very same season they reused the footage in the episode "Portrait of Doom". Oddly, even though the animation and dialogue were exactly the same, they reshot and re-voiced the scene...

Classic repeat performance, kind of like the same dialogue and action sequences used for both She-Ra and Swift Wind taking on Hordak's ship and the villains inside, also from both of these episodes! Gotta love both Hordak and Catra's exclamation of "Drat," between the two episodes, as She-Ra slices the shuttle in half. :) Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)

At the time of Filmation "they had to do economic in drawings." Once more, I admire the Busta's eye and other guys that detect these sequences. Genius!

Can you imagine if it was possible to have different animations in the show . It would have been great. There could have been very different ways to make the flight scene and different positions the characters could fly into battle.

I never liked how Glimmer's powers were not clearly defined or utilised to the fullest extend. One day she could teleport and the next minute she's stressing about how to get on the other side of a door (or something). Boo.

Queen Angela: Let's fight to the left my daughter and hope the viewers don't catch on.
Glimmer: Yes mother.

LOL, well it's stock footage, that's what it's there for. :D
