"The Unknown Warrior" #3

Here are the final four pages from "The Unknown Warrior", a story detailing Snout Spout's origin, published in issue twenty-six of the UK Masters of the Universe comic. Snout Spout's origin is incredibly well-structured in this story, and none of the panels feel wasted. It is also interesting to see a story end with no threat or battle...

This is an excellent story and was a great introduction to Snout Spout. In his brief cartoon appearances in She-Ra it was clear that Filmation had no idea what to do with the character, but the UK comics did a great job with him. Subsequent stories following his introduction did really well in following on from it and exploring his anguish over what Hordak had done to him. Like I said before, they did a great job of turning what could have been a silly throwaway character into a believable hero.

Personal favorite image: Snout Spout destroying the Horde Trooper, while striking a confident pose. :) I also get a kick out of the signs throughout the Fright Zone with perfect lettering, like they are street signs! Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)

Definitely Snout Spouts only prominent moment so far in the series! He's a great character and I'm glad the UK comics didn't look down upon him in anyway.

Mosquitor's comments are on the money, and showcase why the UK comic is such a beloved canon for MOTU fans - Snout Spout is a great example of the creative thinking that went into this stories, taking a potentially quite ridiculous character and turning his laughable appearance into something tragic. :)
