In this panel from the
Masters of the Universe minicomic
"Grizzlor: The Legend Comes Alive!" we see
Bruce Timm's trademark style for illustrating women's faces from afar. When drawing females from a distance, even to this day, Bruce Timm will render the face with little detail, but still manage to make the face feminine and beautiful. Even though
Teela's head is probably drawn a little too big, it works beautifully for this comical illustration in which Teela realizes she has just stumbled into a bad situation!

She looks like Edvard Munch's painting 'The Scream', wonder if that's deliberate?
Well said on EVERYTHING, James! :) I can't help but think of Misty from the early Pokemon cartoons when I look at Teela's face. :) Also, check out a real neat sunset-sky effect in Grizzlor's eye! Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)
I just can't say enough about Bruce Timm. Yet another lasting impression artwork that i will never forget. When i was a child and saw this for the first time, it really made an impression on me.
Bruce really ramped up the cuteness factor here. And it works perfectly with the fact that she knows she's in big hairy trouble now!
The style of Teela in this panel reminds me a lot of some of the very early black & white cartoons - simple but effective! :)
Even at home inside of his secluded cavern, Grizzlor had to realize that visitors always arrive when you're sitting on the toilet.
