Here are two contrasting panels from the
Princess of Power minicomic
"The Hidden Symbols Mystery". In the first panel we have see a fantastic use of blacks as
Adora calls upon the power of
Castle Grayskull. In the second panel we are treated to seeing
She-Ra enveloped by the magic. However, in the second panel
Swift Wind is drawn with an incredibly odd-looking face, and a weird bent horn!

Based on the transformation sequence in the cartoon, the second panel has the special effects of Adora, just before she transforms into She-Ra, and the first panel has the bursting effects, just after she makes the transformation. :) Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)
I always liked that She-Ra could wear her tiara as some kind of mask. I wish she would have used it that way in the cartoon.
This piece is simple, but it does work well. The only part of the page that is not done well is Swiftwind's face. The face is drawn oddly, with the horn as well. Other than that, I feel that this works well.
I've always hated the way a lot of these mini-comic images feature She-Ra with a mask - perhaps I'm a Filmation purist, but they have always felt "wrong" somehow! :(
I had the She-Ra toy as a kid. I just realized, however, that if you take her crown/tiara thing and put it on upside down it resembles her "She-Ra Look" from the 2nd panel. I'd been missing out all of those years! ;-)
