Here is a fantastic page of
Dree Elle development artwork by storyboard artist
Steve Hickner. This page accompanied the storyboards for the season one
He-Man episode
"Dawn of Dragoon". As the character model had yet to be designed, Steve illustrated his idea of what Dree Elle should look like. While I prefer the final model, I do like the direction that Steve was going with the character.

Looks like she could be Orko and Dree Elle's child. :) ~"KevyGuy" :)
I totally prefer the one we got.
This one looks like she had come out of the Zelda games.
I also prefer the final model. There is a lot of the look for Dree Elle on these sketches on the final model in the cartoon.
For some reason the big eyes remind me of Marvin the Martian. Great to see the original idea and how different the final product was in the cartoon. A great character for Orko to bounce off.
I much prefer the final model and like mr. Martinell above says, in this illustration she does look like she could be a daughter of Orko and Dree-Elle. And just like that, I just decided that in my canon, Orko and Dree-Elle will have a child and she looks just like this illustration.
Very cute beginnings for Dree-Elle! This design makes me think of what she'd look like if they had done a fisher-price toy line of MOTU characters.
Yeah, that definitely would be a fitting design for a Trollan child! Considering how many Trollans were featured in the show, I'm kinda surprised that no author ever did a story introducing Orko's little sister who accidentally nearly destroys the palace much to Skeletor's delight.
