"Inside Castle Grayskull" #3
Here are the final three pages of "Inside Castle Grayskull", a story that appeared in issue thirteen of the UK Masters of the Universe Adventure magazine. In this very simplistic story we see what happens when He-Man is away, prompting the forces of evil to attack Castle Grayskull! The entire final page of this story feels awfully tagged on...

One of the worst stories ever in the UK comics, hands down. It does for the comics what the episode "The Secret of Grayskull" did for Filmation, i.e. makes He-Man's role seem completely pointless... if Grayskull can take care of itself that easily, what's the point in having He-Man or any of the other defenders?
And some of the drawings of the Eternians in the final two pages, and the Heroic Warriors' faces, are freaking scary!
This part of the story has elements from "The Secret of Grayskull," "The Greatest Show on Eternia" (The clown at the bottom of the second page reminds me of "Crackers!"), and the final scene from "The Mystery of Man-E-Faces!" I just love the story! The Evil Warriors finally rally for a massive attack and enter the castle unopposed only to fall victim to its inner defenses. No wonder Skeletor's other plots always set him rather sneaking into the castle than walking inside through the front door. :D
