KA-BOOM!

As a kid, upon purchasing a new Masters of the Universe minicomic, I would hurriedly find the transformation sequence, to see how the artist had illustrated it. More than often the transformations in the minicomics were averagely drawn at best. Having purchased the Mosquitor action figure I was treated to a new minicomic, "Enter: Buzz-Saw Hordak!" My jaw-dropped when I saw Bruce Timm's interpretation of the transformation sequence. I have always loved the first panel which shows Prince Adam dramatically reaching for the Sword of Power. The second panel is wonderful. Bruce Timm's ability to create powerful illustrations is what made him a fan favorite when it came to the minicomics. He-Man's pose is superb; with his arms outstretched, as he commands the power of Castle Grayskull! Notice that the power that flows around his body is similar to what we would see take place when Adora transformed into She-Ra...

Nice "Slime Pit" shades of green used for the special effects ... An original take on the transformation! Although Prince Adam pulls his sword out with the opposite hand, compared to the cartoon, he is still posed like the way he is in the cartoon, just before drawing the sword! Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)

The mini-comics were blessed to have some VERY talented artists working on them - as a kid I was often even more excited about the mini's than I was about the action figure that came with them!! :)

This tranformation sequence has the power and aura of Castle Grayskull come right out of the page. Bruce Timm was an art genius. i wish he had illustrated more of the mini-comics.

Adam looks very heroic as he draws his sword! Very badass look for the Prince as he becomes He-Man, in only a way Timm could do!
