Reading a comic...

In issue sixty of the UK Masters of the Universe comic, one reader in particular poses a very interesting question to Scrollos! I like the idea of Skeletor picking up a copy of the Masters of the Universe comic and learning all of the secrets! Sometimes these kids were way ahead of the writers of the comic...

This answer is yet another illustration of what made the UK MOTU comic so brilliant - God, I miss the 1980s!! :)

LOL, the editors must've had one hell of fun answering these letters!

'We must stop the villians from buying the comics'., said He-Man. The Sorcereres had then opened a portal to Earth to send He-Man to his Mother's homeworld to prevent Skeletor and the other evil Masters of the Universe from reading the comic of this series and learning his secret identity as Prince Adam of Eternia.

Now that alone would actually would make a very interesting story arc. The writers didn't come up with this why....oh right there's hardily any dangers on Earth at the time, except for nuclear reactors, the possibility of He-Man being an FBI or a KGB spy, the war on drugs has just began and political strikes. Though the readers won't be interested, unless Skeletor tries to take over America and Russia and take control ovr their nuclear weapons....woah deja vu moment for myself personally. :D

I find that amazing that a question would come up with such a thought out essence. It makes you wonder, If Skeletor really has picked up an issue, since they are published, and secretly knows He-man's secret, and is waiting for the right time to strike. Interesting.

This is just terrific stuff! I wonder if any kids went to the newsagents and questioned people who were buying it!

That...is SO meta...and the kid has NO idea! LOL! I'd love an April fools style issue where you see what happens when Skeletor finds that magazine exists.

Reminds me of a great, comedic fanfic I read where He-Man was sending Skeletor spam emails! Haha!

Actually, I'm now more amused by the fact that letter was apparently written by Peter Sissons. I HOPE it's the BBC newsreader!

Man it was great being a kid and growing up with MOTU. We almost believed they were real in some sense. Those were the days :-)
