It's that time of year again...
Merry Christmas, one and all! Once again I find it appropriate on this day to showcase another Christmas-themed illustration featuring He-Man and She-Ra; this time issue nine of the UK She-Ra comic is showcased in all its ridiculous glory! And, is it me, or are both Skeletor and Hordak illustrated to have a slight smile on their respective faces? I already had enough of Skeletor smiling from "A Christmas Special"...

Come on now! Skeletor smiling from "A Christmas Special" was the main highlight. :) Ha, ha! Well, it's about time that the villains turned from their evil ways. :) It also looks like He-Man and She-Ra are posing like they're not brother and sister, but boyfriend and girlfriend! Once again, the artist did a beautiful job illustrating She-Ra. :) Thanks for reading and Merry Christmas, everyone! ~Best wishes from Kevin :)
This could almost have been a comic book adaptation of "A Christmas Special" - and come on James, you know you love Skeletor's redeeming moment really...! ;)
I tell you which Christmas MOTU picture I like....It is that goofy wrapping paper with Skeletor singing Christmas carols. Seriously, anything like this magazine cover lets us remember that we didn't always have to take MOTU so seriously. At the end of the day, it really is just good clean fun!
I need this issue. And seeing Skeletor and Hordak smiling is nice. It warms my heart to see old Skelly smiling, just like when he was holding Relay in the Christmas Special. I know the Manchines are your favorite characters James :-)
She-Ra really looks well drawn but He-man looks ackward! Hordak looks very filmation which is great!
With all the old Transformers and Star Wars comics re-released, I would love to see trade-paperbacks with the vintage comics from the various publishers.
Skeletor and Hordak must be smiling because it looks like ol' bonehead has Santa's good and naughty list, perhaps he's going to change it so that he and Hordak are good and He-Man and She-Ra are evil?
Yeah it sounds like a ridiculous plot, but Filmation have come up with just as equally ridiculous plots, like having two children from Queen Marlena's home planet visit Eternia. :D

It does look a little like Hordak and Skeletor have a slight grin. Maybe the magic of Christmas is powerful enough to even make the likes of Hordak and Skeletor smile. It sure did have an effect on Skeletor in the Christmas Special feature
Skeletor must have had some good news in that scroll he's clutching, to make him such a happy fellow. Or maybe that piece of rolled up parchment is actually Scrollos and Skelly is crushing him!
They should have let Skeletor keep the puppy from the Christmas special, imagine the comedy! And it's not like he wasn't established as having a weak spot for fun, remember when he wanted to join the circus?!
Haha. The Christmas special is an all-time classic. Well, apart from the fact that I didn't see it until about 8 years ago, that is. They do appear to be smiling on this cover, though.
