Coloring Orko like 1996!

Back in 1996, working on a computer to create unique graphics was quite a challenge. Adobe Photoshop was still in its infancy, and computers were not versatile as they are now. In the early days of the He-Man and She-Ra on-line community we would create images to keep each other entertained. One of the earliest images I created was by using Paint Shop Pro to recolor Orko. Of course that image is incredibly small that it would not be worth displaying on this Blog, so I have lovingly recreated the image!

It's like the "Faker" version of Orko! This would have been a hilarious gag for the cartoon, like if his clothing changed color when he tried to do a magic trick, or if some of his kind on Trolla wore different colors like this. :) Great idea, James! Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)

Did you give Matty the idea for the color change Orko? I could see this in the toon as Orko is getting sick on the cake that Adam makes in the begining of SOTS movie. thanks for Sharing!!!

This is one of those "nerd posts." Like, do I remember playing Mega-Man off of a floppy disk, and having to type in "Megaman.exe" in DOS. Seriously, I used to go to Adam Tyner's page. I am SOOO Thankful that MOTU has a tight fan community, and that I can remember the history!

I had forgotten about Paint Shop Pro! It's funny how things have changed so much since the mid-nineties! These are cute and nicely done.

I'd like a figure of that orko! I'd take him as a Trollan of some type, perhaps a Trollan wearing rebellious colors of some kind. Like Faker, I could easily accept a color change given a good concept w it!

Wow and I thought Trollans all ready looked well unique.

The Orko on the right must be his psycodelic cousin or something, Orko; the Not So Great. :D

Is this when Orko and Smurfette had a kid called Forko? How far the animation and the technology that helps with our day to day doodling has come on!

Reminds me of things we did on our first lesson, when I was in computing school and we had our photo editing course.

I agree that it reminds me of the SDCC colour-change Orko - despite not exactly turning invisible! ;) I'm surprised Mattel didn't latch onto your highly-publicized (!) photo and release this in the 200x toy line. Remember "disco" Skeletor? Hehe.
