In this illustration from issue fourteen of the
Masters of the Universe Adventure magazine we can see that the colorist has mistakenly colored
Stridor as
Night Stalker. This is not the first time the robotic horse would receive a unique paint job. Search through this Blog and you will find another questionably-colored version of Stridor!

He-Man has Night Stalker under his power. :) Interesting take on Castle Grayskull ... Looks more like the play-set than the cartoon, plus it is interesting how the characters have to go uphill to get to the drawbridge! Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)
Ummm... can't you tell that it's due to a printing error?
Ummm, did you actually read my post? - I clearly state "The colorist has mistakenly colored Stridor as Night Stalker" - A printing error in which the color plates were mixed up would cause the ENTIRE image to be miscolored - This is simply the mistake of the colorist.
I have a question about the UK comics. How come part of the stories where in black and white? Where they all like this? or just a few?
I think it was one of the many printing errors that happened to MOTU over the years. I remember having Night Stalker as a kid. I used to put Skeletor in him and face off with He-Man on Stridor.
Hey, if Dragstor can ride on Night Stalker, He-Man has all rights to do the same! :D
Seriously though, I can understand the coloring mistake. If you take away the purple parts, you end up with a steed that's mostly golden, which might fight someone like King Randor.
I could buy the idea that night stalker was left for dead by the evil warriors or jitsu in battle and he was recovered and reprogrammed to run along side stridor!! : D
That might even be nice enough of a picture to be a desktop wallpaper! Fascinating how He-man is riding Night Stalker (by accident, I guess, like you said) - I bet that doesn't happen too often! ;)
