Light Hope's outside appearances.

Light Hope rarely ventured outside of the Crystal Castle in the She-Ra series. Although he appeared in various locations in the season one episode "The Stone in the Sword", those particular locations were still inside the Crystal Castle. His first notable appearance outside of the castle was as a glowing star in the season one episode "Treasure of the First Ones". His second outside appearance occurred in the season two episode "When Whispering Woods Last Bloomed", in which he appeared to She-Ra in his more familiar form.

Unusual but a nice change to see Light Hope among the beautiful outdoor scenery of the Whispering Woods for a change. I always thought that this was just an image of Light Hope, much like the way the floating image of The Sorceress' face appears before Prince Adam/He-Man in the He-Man series, whenever she summons him for help. It's great that Light Hope has the ability to appear outside The Crystal Castle and is not always bound to it. Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)

It's weird that Light Hope and the Crystal castle are mentioned in the opening of the show, but don't appear all that often in the episodes. Do you know what percent of the episodes they are in?

I don't know much about Light Hope. It is interesting that the Sorcerous was supposedly confined to Grayskull, unless in Falcon form, without some loopholes, and she was a physical being. But then there's Light Hope who can leave, and he has no physical body. I don't know why I think it strange, but I do.

I preffer the "star" shape for lighthope when outside crystal castle... I think the "vertical aurora borealis" shape works better when inside that sort of dry fountain where it materializes inside the castle. I think I associate it with the fact that maybe the castle has a sort of magical device to kind of "generate" him a lightbody in the spot, and when he's outside, he's just a holographic proyection.

That mystical rainbow being must be at he's stronger when he ventures forth after a rain storm in front of She-Ra. :D

Still at least the writers made some effort in 'Treasure of the First Ones' where he appears as a star, instead of his usuall ever flowing rainbow form. I'll bet the Wooly Wutzit from Teddy Ruxpin would have loved to seen him. :D

Light Hope was a very interesting character, and a character I would have loved to have seen explored further - he fulfilled exactly the same role for She-Ra as the Sorceress did for He-Man, that of mentor and guide, and yet supposedly the connection between the two was purely coincidental. It would have been fantastic to see a story that connected the two in some way, even tentatively, to make this feel like less of a coincidence and more of a "cosmic design"... :)

The Crystal Castle is such a let down. Prominent in the opening credits... Mattel creates a playset... and yet it's hardly in the series? Lame.

There are many, many episodes of She-Ra that I have never seen, and I never saw Light Hope appear myself. I wasn't even sure that it was a "he" or if he ever talked. Did he ever appear as anything other than a rainbow-coloured cloud in the cartoon?
