Man-At-Arms versus poster glue!

Here are some more wonderful storyboard panels illustrated by Tom Sito from "The Greatest Show on Eternia". While the final scene in the episode was pretty well animated, the expressiveness of Man-At-Arms in these panels has to be seen to be believed. The third panel with Man-At-Arms throwing the bucket full of poster glue to the ground is fantastic! Notice that Orko is drawn without any ears; this was actually something many of the storyboard artists did in their boards...

I love Man-At-Arms' eyes in the third panel. It is times like these that I wish the storyboard art could have been used for the finished animation.

Ha, ha! I can see that, and in both versions of this scene, Man-At-Arms looks so angry, he is strong enough to get all of that glue off of himself. :) He looks even more angry here than the close-up shot of him getting mad at Orko, near the beginning of the "Wizard of Stone Mountain" episode! Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)

Man-At-Arms: I hate poster glue, I just LOATHE it'! I'll bet he said that as he threw the bucket onto the ground.

Having no ears was a lucky break for Orko, it would prevent him for hearing the abuse Man-At-Arms is sure to give him. :D

Such a fantastic storyboard! I wonder how many identical sets of armour M-A-A has, anyway? And how many of those have been ruined by Orko over the years?

James - where on earth do you get hold of all this stuff??? Anyway, it's very cool to see things like this, and yet another episode where Orko is being treated like a child. I think they over-played that aspect of his character, really. Do you happen to know who drew this particular storyboard?

I will never get tired of seeing these storyboards you post James. And it is interesting to know they drew Orko with no ears in them. Thanks for sharing.
