Poor Dragoon...
Quite a while ago I revealed that the original ending to the season one He-Man episode "Dawn of Dragoon" had the villain Dragoon fall into the Bottomless Hole of Trolla, never to be seen again. This was changed at the eleventh hour to have He-Man and Battle Cat team-up to save him. Here is another page from the original ending showing He-Man and Battle Cat briefly discussing Dragoon's demise...

It's unsurprising that they decided to censor this - making it even more remarkable that the events of "The Problem With Power" actually made it past Filmation's censors!! :)
It seems like Dragoon could just fly out, right? He had massive wings? Incidently, I can't wait to see a MOTUC Dragoon. I feel that he is popular enough to be made into a modern figure.
I can see why they changed it! He-Man was always more pro-life, at least as far as I recall, so this would have been a real departure.
Poor Dragoon. Just as well they changed it otherwise people would have been up in arms about it! Same we dont have DVDS with alternative endings!
Wow. Imagine really falling forever. What would happen when you'd thrown up so much that you couldn't continue? Hehe. I was actually trying to watch this episode last night, but my dvd was all scratched and wouldn't play it. D'oh!
