Prince Adam's medallion?!

In a previous post I mentioned a panel that featured a gray-haired Teela from "Skeletor's Surprise", a story from issue one of the UK Masters of the Universe comic. Something I did not highlight in that previous post I will now highlight here. Obviously in this panel Prince Adam's look is somewhat different to what we are used to, but most interesting of all is that he is sporting a medallion! Oddly, due to the way in which the artist has illustrated his jacket, the look kind of works...

The medallion goes along nicely with the spheres on Prince Adam's belt. :) Nice to see that Teela is friendly with the animals just like She-Ra too! Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)

Whoa! Never seen this version of Prince Adam! I like the long red tunic belted at the waist. What does we wear below the belt? Does he have the usual furry shorts? Pants?

I always love seeing different interpretations of MOTU characters. And this Prince Adam has a pretty unique look with his medallion, shirt, and unique belt. Thanks for sharing this with us :-)

This look kind-of reminds me of the appearance Prince Adam had in the original DC Comics - or at the very least a cross between that and his Filmation look! :)

I like how Adam looks smaller than He-man without looking like a total whimp.

This is a very distinctive look for Adam. He actually looks like a prince, from maybe "Prince Valient" or something.

I like the composition of this. And even though Adam looks very different from the 80s cartoon, the look works. Teela's little flirting gesture is a nice touch.

Wouldn't have picture Prince Adam as one for the sovereign!

I'd have pegged this for a panel from one of the U.S. comics if you hadn't told us it was from the UK version. I collected almost the entire run of the UK comics as a child, and I honestly don't remember them being this off in terms of filmation/mini-comic style for the characters. He's only missing the hairy chest for a glamourous 70s look! :) Can you tell me which specific comic and story this panel is from?

Adam: This medallion must be featured as a plot point for a future story in the comics....

Yeah and 'll bet it never shown up again, that medallion though does go well with his outfit. :)
