Wraparound differences #5

Here are some more examples of how the wraparound segment from "She-Ra Unchained" featured vastly different footage when retelling the events of "Beast Island". The images on the left are from the episode "Beast Island" showing the moment Adora confronts Hordak and Shadow Weaver as she learns the truth, with Shadow Weaver sending her to sleep with a spell. However, as you can see in the images on the right, in the wraparound from "She-Ra Unchained", the angle is much less dramatic for the confrontation. It is actually amusing to see how tiny Hordak's throne is in this shot. Also, in the following shot, the sleep spell Shadow Weaver places on Adora is formed of a green mist.

That is so unlike Filmation, to animate a scene all over again. Why whould they have done this? Maybe the originals had been send off already and they only had the audio to work with?

Ha, ha! This IS funny, in regard to the size of Horkak's throne, James. :) Also notice that there are twice as many steps going up to Horkak's throne on the left! Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)

As HB Potlood said, very unlike Filmation to reanimate a scene unnecessarily - is it my imagination or are the two shots of Adora confronting Hordak and Shadow Weaver actually set in different areas of the Fright Zone?? :)

I had noticed those differences, but only when I got the DVD. In Brasil, they never aired the first 5 episodes.
Thanks for posting those!

I much prefer the bigger look for the room. It makes Hordak seem more threatening and evil.

I'm tired of watching these episodes over and over again and I had not noticed. I do not understand why were introduced these remarkable differences! You should have a very fine eye to detect them when you see the episode. Congratulations!

The background is very different in each episode, too. Personally, I find it comical that the first shot looks like Hordak is several hundred feet above Adora. Imagine trying to climb those stairs every day just to get to the throne!

These wraparounds is cool! It's like alternate scenes that are filmed, but rarely seen til usually they hit DVD or something. I do wonder why they felt the need to make some of the changes? Would be something to have in the Unofficial She-Ra Princess Of Power Guide!

Adora: You background is very different to the one before it! Look were I'm pointing my sword at. :D

Oh that would defenately have broken the forth wall if that was ever said. the forth wall could then probably do with a new background itself. :D
