Skeletor revealed!

As The New Adventures of He-Man series geared up to its big finale, one of the notable things that occurred was that the true face of Skeletor was revealed in the episode "The Tornadoes of Zil". In a battle with He-Man, Skeletor comically gets his helmet caught in the large gears of Zil. Upon freeing himself we see that Skeletor no longer has his helmet, revealing that he has hair! He-Man says something to the effect that he knew Skeletor always looked like this. I distinctly remember watching this episode as a kid for the first time and nearly shouting at the television, "Well, you must've been the only one!" I mean, who could have foreseen Skeletor with hair? Over the years the look has kind of grown on me, just because it is hard to dislike Skeletor in this series. And for those wondering why this change happened, one has only to look at the last Skeletor variant from the He-Man toyline to see that the figure had hair. The cartoon was obviously paying some attention to the toyline...

Ha, ha! :) Would have been hilarious if the villain had a hidden ponytail, but this hair style is just right for him. :) James, maybe one day you can do some photo editing of an image of the Filmation version of Skeletor and add the same hairstyle to it? Ha, ha! :)

I too was in shock when I discovered that he actually had hair, I mean a Skeletor with hair!

At least the design was like that of Battle Blade Skeletor, which also had hair. :D
