Evil threesome...

Here is an interesting illustration from the story "The Lost River", which was featured in the rarely-seen four story She-Ra Ladybird compilation book. In a few of the Ladybird books Castaspella was often seen allied on the side of Catra. In this piece by Glenn Steward we see that Castaspella is listening to the latest scheme of Catra alongside Entrapta. The thing worth mentioning is that in these Princess of Power books Catra's plots were never malicious, and often came across as acts of jealousy, thereby making Castaspella's alliance less of a threat.

Castaspella doesn't look like she fits in with the group, plus I think that I like this more "Wonder Woman" look for Catra even better than her cartoon version. :)

Oh I absolutely love this picture! What a fun combo. I really love the differences between Catra from the cartoon and Catra from the mini comics and books. I always prefer this version of Catra, because even though her plots were not that evil, she had a bigger role. Excellent post!

It's not wonder Filmation had to add the Evil Horde to She-Ra. The closest thing the toy line had to a villain was just another one of the girls who is jealous of everyone else.
