Throughout this month The Power and The Honor Foundation in conjunction with The He-Man and She-Ra Blog will be showcasing never-before-seen Filmation production artwork.
This illustration shows one of the numerous designs conceptualized for Glimmer for the She-Ra series. At this point in the design process you can see that she bears a great deal of resemblance to her final character model. You can also see from this piece that the artist is still referencing the jewel in the palm of her hand, something that was abandoned by the final character model.

She's got a better face here.
features are softer.
Never been too fond of the animated version of Glimmer ... Her more adult-like face is beautifully illustrated here, and this design would have been just perfect for the final version for me.
The faces on some of these concept-arts make the POP characters look especially beautiful.
I like this better than the Filmation version.
