Throughout this month The Power and The Honor Foundation in conjunction with The He-Man and She-Ra Blog will be showcasing never-before-seen Filmation production artwork.
This illustration shows an incredibly early design for Castaspella, to the point that if her name were not on this illustration, all of us would have a hard time figuring out who she is supposed to be. The hypnotic/magical aspect of the design is somewhat in place, but the skimpy clothing and rainbow color scheme are far removed from the final character model we would see appear in the She-Ra series.

Wow, rather a gaymazing original concept for Castaspella.
Looks like Bruce Timm's work. :)
That is a great sketch!
Wow, this should have been an original character design for a maybe "one time appearance only" Sorceress for either the He-Man or She-Ra series that I would have SO fallen in love with! :) She is like one of the Disney princesses combined with Ileena from the He-Man episode, "A Friend in Need!" :) The color variety added looks pretty good too ... As my online friends from oversees would say, "Gwapa!" :) Thanks for reading and God Bless! ~"KevyGuy" :)
Hahaha I feel this should be one of many female-characters in Filmation's Flash Gordon-show inside Ming's palace!
Great colors .... one of my favorites
