Throughout this month The Power and The Honor Foundation in conjunction with The He-Man and She-Ra Blog will be showcasing never-before-seen Filmation production artwork.
Aside from their ability to create beautiful alien worlds, the Filmation artists also had to create heavily detailed backgrounds steeped in technology, as both Eternia and Etheria were planets upon which there was an abundance of science. This background illustration, showing the interior of the Collector from "Colossor Awakes", retains a very clean line throughout, as to ensure that no detail is lost when translated into the final painted background.

Collectors engine? :)
There was a lot of cool detail in all the backgrounds to anything within a machine and whatnot on the He-Man & She-Ra series, especially I found on He-Man.
Nice how we can see all kinds of shapes and that there is no symmetry to the different parts that make up The Collector ... I don't know how those characters could remember which part goes to what or what the significance is to each of those features! :)
Collector rules and the interior is astounding. :)
Well-preserved and sketch in color a great background.
