Throughout this month The Power and The Honor Foundation in conjunction with The He-Man and She-Ra Blog will be showcasing never-before-seen Filmation production artwork.
Duke Drear's castle from the She-Ra episode "Troll's Dream" makes Castle Grayskull look positively welcoming. This background showcases a truly unique mix of natural bone-like structures, and the warped technology of the Evil Horde. One has to pay particular attention to the creepy skull with one eye socket!

It's almost as if live action castle Grayskull was inspired by this. :P
I love this image a lot, I'm all eager to get Season 1 on of She-Ra I picked up from Giant Tiger in Dartmouth lately, largely due to this image to :)
The look of this structure can make Snake Mountain look positively welcoming too. :) The claw-like formations in front caught my attention and look like they are about to reach out to grab, in the direction of the audience!
I'm constantly amazed by Filmation's background-artists talents. :D
Drear castle is an awe and dread inspiring castle worthy of being from the talented artists at Filmation.
Best scenery so far
