Throughout this month The Power and The Honor Foundation in conjunction with The He-Man and She-Ra Blog will be showcasing never-before-seen Filmation production artwork.
Here is a near-finalized character model design of Jitsu, or as he was known in the He-Man episode "The Dragon Invasion", Chopper. The crisp line art seen here shows that the artist was under the impression that this was to be the illustration that would become the model sheet from which the model sheet cels were created. However, late in production the decision was made to slightly alter and reduce the size of the character's head.

In the middle illustration, Chopper's head is about the same size as his bigger hand, but these are still very impressive illustrations that are close to the finalized character.
Probably the only character with typical proportions of a MOTU figure. :)
I really enjoy this sheet, it reminds me of model sheets I've seen of other things based on what a toy was to look like. It's just cool.
I dig him with the bigger head in proportion to the body, actually. :)
No idea why they find him all that great, anyway its beautiful model
